Mentors Around Every CornerDo you have a library card? At this point you're probably asking
yourself how in the world this is possibly going to translate
into a commentary on self-improvement. Bear with me on this
because it's going to fit together I assure you.
Sadly, if you're like most folks you don't have one. Not only
that, you might not even remember the last time you took
advantage of these incredible repositories of knowledge. In
actuality the word incredible is a gross understatement to
describe just how much is ...

How to Get Free Advertising for your BusinessAdvertising is the lifeblood of every business on the planet.
Without it customers simply don't know that you're there. And if

traditional advertising avenues such as TV, radio and the
Internet. Then there's the less obvious ones like competitions,
give-aways and sponsorship advertising.
But, regardless of which advertising route is chosen, more often
than ...

My Father Who Art in Heaven I took one university course before discovering I was entitled
to go into a Master's Program at York University if I got over
75%-ile on the GMAT. With ten years successful business
experience and by testing out of the Baccalaureate Level course
(CLEP test). This one course was Logic. The professor got his

The 7 myths of marketing a service businessCopyright 2005 Attractioneering
Myth 1: Marketing is a cost, not an investment
When you spend time and money randomly on marketing, then it
probably is an expense because you're not generating a return on
the resources invested in it. Many people make the mistake of
emulating the marketing tactics of large companies (such as
image advertising) that just don't produce good returns for
small businesses. The fact of the matter is that small

Countering The False Notion That Six Sigma Is ElitistToo often, when people think of Six Sigma and black belts they
see them as having an elitist connotation. The opinion that Six
Sigma is elitist or that black belts are elitist, however, are
false. In its purest form Six Sigma is a "way of life" for an
organization serious about process improvement. It just happens
to have certain characteristics that people like to throw stones
at. That some people have come to believe this false notion is
because they have misinterpreted the nature of Six ...

Keeping the Human Element in Customer ServiceThere is little in life that makes consumers more perturbed at a
business than improper or insufficient phone etiquette. In the
business world, there is no excuse for unprofessional behavior
when speaking with customers and clients over the telephone.
Unfortunately, I'm referring to much more than just
incompetance, rudeness or poor grammar. It seems that today's
customer service representatives are becoming more and more
inhuman with each passing year. Perhaps the sheer volume of
calls that ...

The Art of e-CommerceSo you've got your website, and people can email you about your
products and services. The next step, if your home business is
suitable, is to start selling them directly online.
Why E-Commerce?
E-commerce can be a massive business booster. If you sell
reasonably small, easy-to-ship products (or services that don't
need shipping), it can expand your market from your local
neighbourhood to the whole world! You will also find that you
get more repeat business, since people can easily re-order ...

Discover The Power Of BloggingCopyright 2005 Jason Tarasi
The dark circles under his eyes are evidence that he has been
pecking away at the keyboard again. Night after night he sits,
mesmerized by the computer screen surfing forum after forum
filling the blank spaces with his comments and opinions about
senseless issues, political debates, religious matters, business
strategies and shopping options. All the while his marriage is
deteriorating, his children are growing up and away, his
business is wavering on the brink of ...
